KEC was formed in 2000 by Dan Proctor who realized a more transparent, accountable and data driven process was required to work effectively with chain accounts. He left the Chicagoland area to open KEC in Champaign, IL where a favorable labor market, a geographic distribution hub met the Midwestern work ethic. Today KEC operates three divisions, employs 25 staff and partners with local, regional and national customers.
